What a great Foundation Day!  We raised $15,000 for the Rotary Foundation and made 13 new Paul Harris Fellows.

Thank you to each of you that contributed.  Most members present at the meeting turned in their contributions already, however some did not so please do send in your contribution using the form given out today or visit www.rotary.org and click on My Rotary and then you can make the contribution on-line.  Please select the Annual Fund or Polio Plus.  It is easy to do and you can even set-up a reoccurring contribution.

For the20 or so of you were not able to attend the meeting today you too can click on the link above and make your contribution to the Rotary Foundation.  I will also hand out forms over the next several weeks for your use.  Please send me a quick note to let me know how much you are giving so that I can update our club's giving tally.  I thank you in advance for supporting the Rotary Foundation.

On behalf of the Rotary Foundation and the millions of people who are impacted by the good deeds that the Rotary Foundation makes possible I say THANK YOU.  Clean water in Haiti, schools in Guatemala and and numerous local projects are all possible because of YOU!

Have a most awesome day knowing that YOU are making a difference in the world.

At out regular club meeting on November 1st, Harbortown will continue its long standing tradition of supporting the Rotary Foundation with our annual Foundation Day.  We do this by making contributions to the Rotary Foundation and by doing so honoring members, family and friends with a Paul Harris Fellow. As in the past it is the goal of our club and Rotary to have each member donate $100 every year.

We all became Rotarians to make a difference in our community and throughout the world.  The Rotary Foundation is the mechanism through which much of this happens. The mission of the Rotary Foundation is....

The mission of The Rotary Foundation is to enable Rotarians to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through the improvement of health, the support of education, and the alleviation of poverty.

It is my hope that all those impacted by the Rotary Foundation (over the years and in the future) can count on you with your financial support.  The goal still is that every Rotarian gives a minimum of $100 per year to the Rotary Foundation.  That is less than $2 per week.  You can even set-up a reoccurring payment plan to automatically deduct your contribution.  Just visit www.rotary.org to set this up and learn more about the Foundation.

Tomorrow will be a fun fast-paced day of giving at our meeting.  We will honor individuals with Paul Harris Fellows.  We will learn more about the Rotary Foundation AND we will raise $12,000 plus dollars for the Rotary Foundation. Thank you in advance for your contribution to the Rotary Foundation and for making a commitment to making a difference in the world.
