Join us Wednesday, November 3rd at 7:30am for our weekly morning meeting as we participate in our annual Foundation Day!
The club will continue its long standing tradition of supporting the Rotary Foundation with Foundation Day. Harbortown does this by making contributions to the Rotary Foundation and by doing so, honoring members, family, and friends with a Paul Harris Fellow. Learn more about the Rotary Foundation: www.rotary.org.
Should any member want to honor a family member or friend with a Paul Harris Fellow, please contact Keith Kylmala.
As in the past, it is the goal of Harbortown and Rotary to have each member donate $100.00 every year.
Harbortown has always amazed with its generosity and support of the Rotary Foundation. Let's continue our tradition with another successful Foundation Day!
For the entire month of November, the Harbortown Rotary Charitable Foundation, the Hermans Scholarship Fund, and the Donald Holm Founders Fund will be the recipients of all ROUND UP funds generated at the Mount Royal cash registers! We encourage you all to please patronize Mt. Royal Market throughout November, and ROUND UP your purchase dollars to donate to the Harbortown Rotary Charitable Foundation fundraiser.
Thanks!
Scott, Greg, Juhl, Jeremy, Jinell, Jim, Dan, & Craig
Save the date! Harbortown Rotary's next Fireside meeting will be held on Wednesday, November 10th from 5:30pm - 8:30pm at the Kitchi Gammi Club. There will be buffet dinner and cash bar. The RSVP will be going out via email within the next couple of weeks. Please RSVP so the club can ensure the right count. Mark your calendars!
On Wednesday, November 17th, Harbortown Rotary and the KA Bike Duluth Festival will be presenting the charity partner donation check from funds raised by the 2021 KA Bike Duluth Festival. Please join us so we can recognize your efforts!
Rotary District 5580 is an organization of officers, committees, programs and activities intended to support the operations of the clubs within its area. It includes Rotary clubs in portions of MN, WI, Ontario, and all of ND. It is the District’s role to assist in strengthening each club and their ability to make a positive difference in their communities and in the world by:
Empowering engaged Rotarians in service to each other and to their communities
Fostering unity among member clubs
Strengthening and expanding Rotary around the District
Communicating the work of Rotary district-wide
Providing a system of inspiring and effective administration
We strive to continually enhance and grow the level of support we offer our District’s clubs, and we need your help in defining what is important, what is working, and what needs to be improved in our offerings. Pleaseprovide your valuable input by completing this short survey.
If you have an upcoming program duty (please check the upcoming duty roster), please be sure to secure a speaker and provide notice to Rick Oase (rickoase@yahoo.com) or Stephanie Judd (sljudd@gmail.com) as soon as that speaker is confirmed. If you are unable to confirm a speaker, consider other program ideas like a Ted Talk, presenting yourself on a relevant topic or your business, or creating some excitement for a community organization you are passionate about. It is your program, so think about what is interesting and engaging to you and share it with others!
If for some reason you are unable to switch duties with another member or you have simply exhausted all efforts to find a speaker, please notify Rick or Stephanie no later than 3 business days before the meeting (the Friday before the meeting your program is scheduled).
The Holiday Inn has dedicated a laptop for weekly Harbortown use. All presenters need to bring is a USB drive with the PowerPoint presentation (or whatever is wanted to be shown on the projector while speaking). Please share this information with your program's presenter.
Because Harbortown is asked by the Holiday Inn for RSVPs each week, Rob will RSVP each weekly presenter to ensure the presenter gets breakfast. If the presenter is bringing a guest, please let Rob know so he can RSVP the guest, as well. Questions? Please contact Rob Haglin (rhaglin@awkuettel.com).
Thank you for your help and thank you to all who are working hard to find engaging content for our upcoming sessions!
