Foundation Day
At Harbortown's morning meeting on November 3rd, the club will continue its long standing tradition of supporting the Rotary Foundation with our annual Foundation Day. Harbortown does this by making contributions to the Rotary Foundation and by doing so, honoring members, family, and friends with a Paul Harris Fellow. Learn more about the Rotary Foundation: www.rotary.org.

New members will soon be contacted about the Rotary Foundation and Paul Harris Fellows. Should any member want to honor a family member or friend with a Paul Harris Fellow, please contact Keith Kylmala (kkylmala.kylmalatruss.com).

As in the past, it is the goal of Harbortown and Rotary to have each member donate $100.00 every year.

Harbortown has always amazed with its generosity and support of the Rotary Foundation.  Let's continue our tradition with another successful Foundation Day!

Thank you in advance,
Keith Kylmala (kkylmala.kylmalatruss.com)

District 5580 Member Survey is Live!
Rotary District 5580 is an organization of officers, committees, programs and activities intended to support the operations of the clubs within its area. It includes Rotary clubs in portions of MN, WI, Ontario, and all of ND. It is the District’s role to assist in strengthening each club and their ability to make a positive difference in their communities and in the world by:
  • Empowering engaged Rotarians in service to each other and to their communities
  • Fostering unity among member clubs
  • Strengthening and expanding Rotary around the District
  • Communicating the work of Rotary district-wide
  • Providing a system of inspiring and effective administration
We strive to continually enhance and grow the level of support we offer our District’s clubs, and we need your help in defining what is important, what is working, and what needs to be improved in our offerings.  Please provide your valuable input by completing this short survey.

Upcoming Program Duties
If you have an upcoming program duty (please check the upcoming duty roster), please be sure to secure a speaker and provide notice to Rick Oase (rickoase@yahoo.com) or Stephanie Judd (sljudd@gmail.com) as soon as that speaker is confirmed. If you are unable to confirm a speaker, consider other program ideas like a Ted Talk, presenting yourself on a relevant topic or your business, or creating some excitement for a community organization you are passionate about. It is your program, so think about what is interesting and engaging to you and share it with others!

If for some reason you are unable to switch duties with another member or you have simply exhausted all efforts to find a speaker, please notify Rick or Stephanie no later than 3 business days before the meeting (the Friday before the meeting your program is scheduled).

The Holiday Inn has dedicated a laptop for weekly Harbortown use. All presenters need to bring is a USB drive with the PowerPoint presentation (or whatever is wanted to be shown on the projector while speaking). Please share this information with your program's presenter.

Because Harbortown is asked by the Holiday Inn for RSVPs each week, Rob will RSVP each weekly presenter to ensure the presenter gets breakfast. If the presenter is bringing a guest, please let Rob know so he can RSVP the guest, as well. Questions? Please contact Rob Haglin (rhaglin@awkuettel.com).

Thank you for your help and thank you to all who are working hard to find engaging content for our upcoming sessions!
